We are a new and innovative CTV OS challenging the status quo by working with a market leading OEM to provide content discovery for streaming platforms, as well as integrating FAST channels alongside traditional broadcast TV channels. We are gearing up for rapid expansion across European markets.
Job Description:
Our main expectation is that you are enthusiastic, with a large appetite to learn and that most importantly that you take responsibility for your work. The work you do will play a significant role in the success of the company, building data products that are integrated into customer facing products. This means our work has to be highly accurate, robust and scalable.
We are looking for someone with an excellent academic background and a strong grounding in Computer Science / Data Engineering principals. You will receive input and guidance from a Senior Data Engineer, who will assist in your development to help you achieve your learning goals.
You will have the opportunity to work on a large cross-section of Data Engineering and ML projects, such as recommendation / personalization engines, image recognition modeling, real-time tailored advertising and strategic business analytics.
The successful candidate will be a naturally curious person with a high level of attention to detail. Our team is growing rapidly, therefore being successful in this role will be quickly rewarded with opportunities to expand the role and projects that you are involved in.

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating low-latency, highly reliable data pipelines with a critical role in product delivery
- Become a trusted partner of the front / back-end development teams
- Responsible for the accuracy, validity and security of data from source to consumer
- Be proficient at articulating data flows to senior team members and explaining approach to a task
- Being the owner of the data within a particular flow / pipeline
- Input into the development of the data tooling strategy
- 0-2 years professional experience as a Data Engineer or a MS/BS in Computer Science
- Proficiency in Python (and one other software programming language)
- Some experience writing queries in SQL
- Some experience with ETL / Job orchestration tools
- Some experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus
- Some experience with Big Data Frameworks and Tools: MapReduce, Hive, Presto, HDFS, YARN, Kafka, etc is a plus
- Any experience with presenting results using a business intelligence tool e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, or Open Source (Apache Superset, etc)
- An ability to communicate confidently with your peers and provide a clear breakdown of your approach to a task
