The Role:

As a pivotal member of the VersusGame team, you'll harness the power of data to sculpt an unparalleled end user journey, from the first click to lasting engagement. Your analytical acumen, combined with a keen understanding of user acquisition, product management, and UX design principles, will drive data-driven decisions that enhance user satisfaction and retention. You'll be the linchpin between our data and the tangible improvements in our consumer-facing product, ensuring that every feature, game, and update resonates with our audience's needs and preferences.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Dive deep into user data to uncover trends, behaviors, and opportunities. Your insights will inform product enhancements, optimize user acquisition strategies, and shape retention initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Strategy Development: Collaborate closely with our Product Manager and engineering teams to ensure the end-user experience is seamless and engaging, aligning with our broader platform goals. You'll also provide data-backed recommendations to our UX Designer to refine the user interface and interaction design.
  • User Acquisition & Growth: Use your analytical insights to refine and target our user acquisition efforts, ensuring we're attracting the right audience efficiently and effectively.
  • Retention & Engagement Enhancement: Work with the Product Manager to develop strategies that boost user loyalty and engagement, leveraging data to personalize the user experience and foster a vibrant community.
  • Leadership & Advocacy: Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making within the team. Educate and inspire colleagues about the importance of integrating user insights into every facet of our product strategy.
  • Story telling: You will own all data initiatives and reporting. You have excellent communication skills and “story telling” ability when presenting data insights. Facilitate the automation of standardized reporting, analysis, and processes for diverse revenue segments and computing expenditures.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis or a data science role, preferably within the mobile app or gaming industry.
  • Proven track record in using data to inform product strategy, improve user acquisition, and enhance retention.
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics tools
  • Experience working closely with UX/UI design teams and a good grasp of user experience principles.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable strategies for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Agile and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced startup environment where multitasking and pivoting are the norms.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
