Our Enterprise Data and Analytics department is growing, and we're looking for talented Data Engineers to join our team. As we continue to evolve our data and analytics capabilities, we are looking for engineers to lead the design, development and deployment of data engineering and automation solutions to achieve enterprise goals and support experimentation and innovation.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team focused on delivering modern data and analytics solutions to internal customers. You will collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to design, build, and maintain data pipelines critical to multiple machine learning models. You will play a key role in modernizing the data/tech stack as part of a a team that redesigns existing solutions and migrates them to Cloud (AWS).

Duties And Responsibilities

• Update and maintain technical documentation for projects and assignments using the appropriate tools and deliverables.
• Proactively researches, identifies, and resolves issues and/or code as necessary.
• Participates in the implementation of software programs, platform solutions, etc.
• Participate in release activities and on-call rotations as needed.
• Part of a team that is involved in code reviews and unit testing efforts.
• Works with team to respond to and answer questions generated by internal IT teams.
• Creates and maintains automated test scripts, system documentation, run books, and/or manuals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics or related fields) 1+ years of working experience in SQL, Python, Git, relational databases like MS SQL Server
• 1+ years of working experience in designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to AWS services like S3, Glue, DevOps practices, CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform
• Ability to write APIs
• Strong technical skills and a good understanding of software development principles and project lifecycles
• Strong business and technology aptitude with a willingness to learn and understand business and software solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communications; ability to explain project risks and issues, and IT related concepts clearly and concisely
• High motivated with strong organizational, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build strong partnerships and to work collaboratively with all business and IT areas.
• Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• High level of professionalism and confidence with the ability to build credibility with team members and business partners
• Works under significant supervision of a Solution Delivery Manager or technical lead
• A good understanding of project lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Iterative, Agile/Scrum) and project management processes and standards
• Technical writing capability
• Knowledge / Understanding of database design schemas and data modeling
• Ability to translate technology into relatable concepts for business partners
• Knowledge / Understanding of middleware and discovery technologies
• Experience with data analytics
• Experience scripting with: JavaScript, Web Services, HTML, CSS, Jelly, and Angular JS
