Job Description Summary

Job Description and Purpose:

The Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting the data and analytics team across as a technology generalist for one of Cushman and Wakefield’s accounts. They are responsible for supporting the establishment and maintenance of an effective documentation framework, that may include data engineering, analytics development, data quality, integrity, compliance, data stewardship, and metadata management activities. With a deep passion for data and analytics, the Data Analyst collaborates with the On-Account BI Developers, Data Engineers, Data Stewards, On-Account Data Governance Lead and other analytics colleagues to support general development and align documentation practices with business objectives and contribute to a data-driven culture within the organization.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Support the On-Account Data and Analytics team across BI development, data engineering, data governance and data quality initiatives required for Cushman and Wakefield’s client
  • Serve as a key point of contact for matters related to documentation within the client’s Core Meta Model
  • Document and implement data quality standards and best practices for the client’s common data model (Core Meta Model)
  • Support data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and anomalies.
  • Work with business units to understand data usage and requirements, ensuring alignment with data documentation objectives.
  • Work with business units to better understand and document BI development needs for developers, and therefore collaborate to improve efficiency of delivery
  • Work with business units to better understand and document Data Engineering needs for developers, and therefore collaborate to improve efficiency of delivery Utilize data profiling tools and methodologies to maintain a high level of data integrity.
  • Support the On-Account Data Stewards in documenting and maintaining data quality monitoring processes
  • Support the development of data quality dashboards and reports for ongoing monitoring.
  • Proactively identify potential data documentation issues and take preventive actions.
  • Document data quality rules, standards, and procedures for the client’s Core Meta Model
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the overall data governance framework
  • Collaborate with data domain owners, data stewards and business units to identify critical data elements and their relationships.
  • Collaborate with members of the data governance working group on data quality initiatives
  • Support the implementation of metadata standards and ensuring adherence across the core meta model
  • Establish clear communication channels with data owners and team members to ensure data stewardship and quality maintenance.
  • Support the On-Account Lead in tracking and monitoring data and analytics metrics, data quality metrics/scorecards, and KPIs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a degree with relevant disciplines such as information management, mathematics/statistics, business information systems

No minimum years of experience in the domain, however successful candidates should have a passion of learning new skills specifically towards a developer or analyst development path.

  • Nice-to-have (not a pre-requisite):
    • Experience with contributing in Data Compliance activities
    • Skills in Tableau, Data Quality
    • Skills in DataIKU, Metadata Management, Reference Data Management, Agile/Program Management, Master Data Management, Stakeholder Management, Communications & Training
    • Commercial Real Estate knowledge

  • Experience in documenting business processes in the form of process maps and step-by-step user manuals.
  • Experience in supporting system testing with entry and exist criteria.
  • Commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work.
  • Workshop facilitation skills for requirements gathering analysis.
  • Ability to build & maintain effective working relationships with internal and external personnel.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to deliver.
  • Ability to produce high quality documentation (reports, specifications, requirements, etc.)
  • Good team player, also able to work independently.
