Senior Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer is required for a pioneering renewable energy company. Seeking to facilitate the global transition towards a sustainable energy grid, this company has secured strong investment.

You will be responsible for designing and building the data architecture of the company as well as supporting a team of Data Analysts, Data Scientists and BI Analysts.

Responsibilities

• Building and automating data pipelines and data infrastructure
• Maintaining and enhancing performance of data pipelines, ensuring scalability and integrity
• Ingesting Data flows from other parts of the organisation and facilitating BI
• ETL of data from various third party and internal sources
• Coaching and mentoring of more junior members of the team
• Building tools and services for other members of the Data team
  
  

Requirements

• BS/MS in a Computer Science related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years experience in Software/Data Engineering in Java (Scala experience is a plus)
• Extensive experience with Azure (AWS, GCP experience a plus)
• Experience with SQL databases and Azure Data Factory
• Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka or Spark
• Experience with containerization technologies is a plus
• Experience in the renewables sector is a plus
• German language skills / EU Visa is beneficial
