Overview
This is an opportunity for a Data Analyst to work with a blue-chip client who own and operate the UK's largest oil refinery and petrochemical complex.
The Mechanical Integrity Data Analyst role is designed to be a subject matter expert (SME) in automation and manipulation of the Mechanical Integrity Engineering Department's data from a variety of data sources.
Primary Accountabilities
- Development and deployment of newly defined automated dashboards to enable visibility of data in a consistent and efficient format
- Data update / refresh for all deployed dashboards
- Analysing trends from the dashboards, with particular reference to data standards to draw conclusions
- Provide visibility on the Department readiness for the clients Global transition from existing tools / databases to new tools / databases by conducting the data quality checks, validating consistency and proposals for discrepancy rectification,
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience as a Data Analyst.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong MS Excel skills with VBA understanding
- Excellent communications skills - working closely with management to identify dashboard requirements and talk through potential solutions.
- Strong level of relational database concepts
- Have the ability to write complex SQL queries and scripts against highly abstracted model
- Experience in IT Change Control support with complex framework of integrations
- Ability to map logical / physical data models
- Gather / analyse / compare data via (tableau, excel pivot, access)
- Familiar with the data profiling concepts.
