Qualifications
You will be a core member of Periscope’s technology team with responsibilities that range from developing and deploying our core enterprise products to ensuring that McKinsey’s craft stays on the leading edge of technology.
In this role, you will be involved in data engineering projects in a hands-on manner. You will spend about 80% of your time building and improving our Cost Reporting Solutions, data visualizations, interactive dashboards and ad hoc reporting and scorecards for GM&S's stakeholders.
You will be an active learner, tinkering with new open source libraries, using unfamiliar technologies without supervision and learning frameworks and approaches.

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent field
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering
- Experience in building BI dashboards
- Experience in handling large data volumes and orchestrating automated ETL/data pipelines using CI/CD and Cloud Technologies
- Proficiency in working with Azure Technologies like Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, etc.
- Experience programming in Python and SQL, as well as in Big data technologies (pySpark and sparkSQL)
- Working knowledge of building Data Pipelines using Airflow
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and propose effective solutions
- Experience adopting software development best practices (e.g., modularization, testing, refactoring, etc.)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to thrive with a high-level of self-direction, autonomy, and responsibility
