How your role will look like:

  • Work within Scout's central data infrastructure team, responsible for mission-critical services across the Scout24 group
  • Collaborate with diverse teams of talented engineers, data scientists, and analysts to implement and maintain high-performance data-processing and data integration systems on top of a Lake House architecture
  • Ensure operational excellence and scale the platform to deliver impact in a rapidly growing environment
  • Drive innovation by expanding our data ecosystem with new state-of-the-art technologies

What you need to succeed:

  • You possess hands-on experience in cloud technologies (preferably AWS)
  • You know about infrastructure as code (e.g., CDK, CloudFormation or Terraform)
  • You have experience of running data processing pipelines using distributed data processing frameworks like Apache Spark (Apache Airflow experience is a plus)
  • You have strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript/Typescript and/or JVM based languages along with SQL knowledge
  • You have experience with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and deployment using tools and methods like CI/CD, Containers, Monitoring and Alerting.
  • You have a strong drive to learn and improve your skills

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of columnar data formats like Delta or Parquet
  • Previous experience in designing and building (data) APIs.
  • Previous experience with GDPR and Data Privacy Engineering
