Your role & influence as Data Engineer

Responsibility:

You'll have the responsibility of extracting value from data for the organization through reliable data solutions that automate and optimize essential business functions, such as optimizing stock levels, setting accurate prices, or enhancing content relevance for marketing purposes.

Core activities:

  • Develop and enhance the organization's data platform to maximize value extraction from data.
  • Collaborate within a central team of data engineers to construct essential building blocks for data applications.
  • Utilize these building blocks hands-on to create applications within cross-functional teams, emphasizing experimentation and continuous learning, primarily using Python and SQL within the Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks stack.

We envision you as a curious, driven and experienced individual who thrives on adopting new technologies and solutions, is a strong communicator, adept at problem-solving, and possesses hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, preferably Azure Data Lake, with knowledge of alternatives like Google BigQuery or Snowflake being highly valued.

Additionally, it's important that:

You know SQL and Python, have experience of Spark, knows ETL as well as DevOps practices and CI/CD when it comes to data.
