We are looking for a talented and experienced Data Engineer. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for partnering with business teams, understanding business requirements for reporting and decision making, develop and support BI solutions.

Our Team

We are a Business Intelligence team within Information Technology group supporting the reporting needs of Georgia-Pacific’s Building Products business. Our division is currently going through a complete ERP transformation and is looking for a Data Engineer to support legacy and new ERP-based BI platforms.

LOCATION: ATLANTA, GA

What You Will Do

Primary duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions of the Position) include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work with Business analysts, process teams and BI team to develop data solution and documentation.
  • Act as a technical BA by asking right questions to identify resolve logical gaps in the technical requirements
  • Develop technical specifications to meet functional requirements for reporting and analytics.
  • Analyze features and user requirements to create user stories, design specifications.
  • Data profiling to understand source data grain, duplication and other data attributes.
  • Create, enhance or modify dimensional data models (conceptual, logical and physical) for business intelligence


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Expert in building Data Modeling, Data Marts, Data warehouses and ETL jobs.
  • Expert in SQL (including stored procedures, functions, performance optimization).
  • Experience in AWS: Glue, Python, Spark, Redshift and other AWS services like Step function, Lambda etc..


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in technology related field.
  • Experience in designing, data warehousing solutions for SAP ERP data outside of SAP environment
  • Knowledge of one of following SAP ERP Modules – SAP IBP and SAP Supply Chain , OTC
  • Experience with Azure analysis Services datasets and Power BI.
  • Experience in writing DAX queries
