A global boutique (re)insurance broker are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join their growing team, to act as the lead Engineer on the support and development of their brand-new next- data platform.

This is a permanent role with hybrid working arrangements - requiring 2-3 days per week in their central London office to collaborate with your colleagues.

This company are incredibly digitally-driven and are fully operating on Azure, with no legacy systems. You'll be joining their small (but growing) Cloud and Data team as their sole Data Engineer, making this a role with huge growth potential!

As the Data Engineer, you'll take responsibility for the ongoing design and implementation of robust data storage solutions built on Azure, ensuring scalability and efficiency - this will involve developing and optimising data pipelines, overseeing the integation of new data management technologies and software engineering tools, and working with a variety of internal stakeholders and external vendors.

This is a really unique opportunity for an Data Engineer with experience across the Azure data stack, to take ownership of a truly cutting-edge programme of work. Requirements

  • Strong experience with Azure Data Services - Azure SQL database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse, Azure HD Insight etc.
  • Expertise in SQL programming, including designing and optimising complex queries and databases
  • ETL process design using Azure Data Factory
  • Data warehouse development experience using Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Experience with Snowflake would be desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
