We are looking for:
  • Syensqo has decided to create a startup team, Syensqo.ai, dedicated to the AI and Generative AI domain. By taking this role, the AI & Generative AI Product Manager will join this team right at its inception. Its mantra is simple: deliver value in a fast fashion, with speed, and agility while taking no compromise on compliance, ethics, guardrails, or regulations.
  • The Product Manager will contribute to the growth and development of this startup while keeping a very sharp focus on the delivery of prioritized items. In the current business, macroeconomic, and climate crisis context, time of execution will be of the essence.
  • With a focus on innovation to achieve growth, we are seeking a visionary AI & Generative AI Product Manager to join our team and lead the development of groundbreaking AI-powered products. In our agile and collaborative work environment we have fun to live our motto: advancing humanity.


We count on you for:
  • You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product portfolio, being responsible for identifying opportunities for leveraging AI and Generative AI technologies, defining product vision and strategy, and guiding cross-functional teams to bring innovative products to Syensqo and its customers. By aligning and engaging with other Product Managers to trigger needed data flows or deliver a leapfrog to their scopes thanks to AI/Generative AI capabilities.
  • You'll support the overall internal and external communications effort to showcase the value delivered and the startup mindset of Syensqo.ai.
  • Key outputs:
    • product lead: supported by a squad bringing the right competencies, make it happen!
    • business context and objectives analysis: learning what could bring additional value to value recipients– via an understanding of business domain and capabilities in scope globally, external practices and innovation research (outside-in perspective), and often via direct observation in the field.
    • product strategy and vision: developing a high-level product (group) strategy and vision that ties to the overall business strategy and identifying potential business value increase.
    • product value delivery plan and is accountable for value delivery: defining the long-term business capability automation and digitalization roadmap for the business outcomes the product (group) delivers, in particular producing the product stack and “contracting” with the other product groups
    • stakeholder orchestration: orchestrating internal and external multi-functional stakeholders to define, validate and refine product (group) vision, strategy, definitions and roadmaps.
    • adoption & communication material: preparing the strategy and communication material for creating a shared understanding of the product (group) in particular on how to market and sell it, deliver and operate it (for product teams), and measure its success (through Value and Performance Management Specialists).
    • product analytics: analyzing performance reporting for insights into product impact and adoption in the market (actuals versus plan). Define and validate with value recipients specific key value indicators (KVIs); define with team key performance metrics KPIs to improve the product group value for Syensqo; if needed retire product based on trend analysis on KVIs and KPIs
    • competitive analysis: specifically for TCO / value for money to inform the product strategy before and during product life.
    • governance: operating the governance processes that enable prioritization across multiple options, decisions impacting the business (for instance automation that would remove business headcounts or drastically impact business ways of working), decisions impacting other product groups or the overall technology budget

You will bring:
  • Proven experience in product management, ideally with a focus on AI or technology products.
  • Strong understanding of generative AI technologies (e.g., GPT, Mistral, Gemini…) and their applications.
  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience - SAFE methodology.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Creativity, curiosity, and a passion for innovation and technology.
  • Provide “Think 10X” on the roadmap to understand where Syensqo can leapfrog existing mindset/processes to unlock value and de-risk our strategy.
  • Hunter's mindset.
  • Leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong at building relationships, setting collective accountability, and resolving conflicts at a quick pace


You will get:
  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $119,000 to $149,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
