Data Analyst I

Agilus is recruiting for a Data Analyst I in the oil & gas industry in Calgary, Alberta.

Jr. EDMS (Engineering Document Management System) Data Migration Analyst Overview / Responsibilities Jr. EDMS Data Migration Analyst will work with the Sr. EDMS Data Migration Analyst to assist the EDMS team with migrating all revisions of documents, and associated metadata, from SPO, PIMS, and networks drives.

A Typical Day

• Executing document/ data cleansing strategies, action plans, reconciliation plans and scripts.
• Collecting document/ data migration requirements, Knowledge in SQL, Knowledge in EDMS systems like Smart Plant Foundation, and Omega PIMS.
• Determining the validity of the values of the data elements, Reviewing and validating data relationships between tags and documents.
• Coordinating with document/ data owners to validate cleansed document/ data (e.g., reconciling orphaned project documents against as-built documents to determine if these records need to be migrated).
• Mapping the data in the format provided in conversion templates, Assisting with determining data migration security controls.
• Executing end-to-end integration migration test plans (including testing for data extraction, transformation, data loading, and data validation).
• Solid experience with data transformation and data load testing, Validating data of multiple mock conversions and the full migration coordinating with unit and end-to-end integration testing to ensure the flow of data from the source applications to the target applications is accurate.
• Documenting the end-to-end data migration test results and lessons learned report.
  
  

Successful Candidates Will Have

• Education - Diploma in an engineering discipline would be preferred.
• Communication - Good communication skills both written and verbal. Willing and able to resolve team conflicts.
• Project Execution - Demonstrates interest and understanding of overall project workflow, project execution plan, procedures, and project primary deliverables and activities.
• Systems and Tools knowledge- Must have knowledge of the EDMS systems (Smart Plant Foundation, and Omega PIMS) and tools used to support EDMS migrations (SQL).
• Problem Solving skills - Demonstrate the ability to identify, analyze and resolve documentation and data issues in accordance with sound Information Management principles.
