We're looking to add a talented Data Scientist to our Engineering team.  This position will play a crucial role in analyzing vast amounts of financial data to uncover trends, predict market movements, and provide actionable insights that will shape our strategic decisions. Your expertise in machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling will support the development of innovative products and solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis & Modeling: Apply advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to analyze large datasets, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Predictive Analytics: Develop and implement predictive models that forecast market trends and customer behavior, enhancing our ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Machine Learning Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable machine learning models that support our financial products and decision-making processes.
• Data-Driven Insights: Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex data findings into actionable business insights and recommendations.
• Product Development Support: Collaborate with product development teams to integrate data science findings into product features, optimizing performance and user experience.
• Data Governance and Quality: Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of data used for analysis, adhering to data governance and compliance standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members to share insights, discuss challenges, and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Other duties as needed;

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar position;
• Proven experience in data science, preferably within the financial services or fintech sector.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as  Python, R, SQL, and experience with data science toolkits (e.g., Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and understanding of deep learning architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud computing services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
• Knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and data sources is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
