Job Description

In Consumer Panel Services, we believe that constant innovation is the key to improving the experience of our panelists while increasing the pertinence and quality of their reported data. To achieve this goal, we have developed a coding framework that automatically enriches shop receipts to reduce the work for our panelists.

The Junior Machine Learning Engineer will join our cross-functional team of machine learning engineers and data scientists. The Junior Machine Learning Engineer will work on engineering and scientific tasks to continuously enhance the enrichment of our consumer panel purchase data. Reporting our Principle Machine Learning Engineer, also based in Nuremberg, the Junior Machine Learning Engineer will collaborate closely with software engineers and SREs using a variety of different tools & tech including; MongoDB, MySQL, Jupyter, Phython, Docker, Terraform, GitLab, R, AWS Lambda etc.

You Will

• Support the development of Data Science and ML solutions that enable purchased items qualification.
• Create viable ML solutions with your team collaborating closely with our stakeholders.
• Implement, deploy and monitor ML models that are reproducible, well documented, and follow prescribed coding guidelines.
• Apply coding best practices and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate efficiently with the other teams of software engineers and SREs.
• Be active as a member of our Agile Team, take part in the definition of tasks, share your accomplishments, raise concerns and ask questions.
• Present your work to the team and take an active part in presenting our team’s machine learning capabilities to a broader audience.
  
  

You Have

• Good knowledge of Python and the respective development tools.
• Some experience with common software engineering practices and our main tech-stack.
• First experience with cloud computing environments.
• Experience with developing and deploying ML models.
• English language skills (Professional working proficiency verbal & written)
  
  

Preferable (but not essential)

• Degree in Machine Learning or comparable field.
• First experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with NLP projects.
• Experience deploying machine learning models.
