What You Will Do
As a Junior Data Engineer to join our Commercial Analytics team where you will play a critical role to understand, develop and document data solutions that utilize various technologies to drive business growth and process efficiencies to deliver new and enhanced capabilities.
- Supporting Sage Commercial Operations, this role focuses on delivering capabilities and efficiencies within sales operations support.
- This position offers visibility to a wide array of sales, sales operations, marketing and finance, processes, and data. The position requires a deep understanding of app development, as well as the ability to work with, and make sense of, data from multiple disparate systems. An effective Junior Data Engineer strives for continuous improvement, actively working with stakeholders to identify opportunities and recommend improvements on an ongoing basis.
- Clear documentation and communication of processes and solutions developed by the Junior Data Engineer are key to ensuring long-term viability, success, and demonstration of ROI to the business.
- This is an excellent opportunity to add value as a business partner with our Sage leadership, sales and sales operations teams as well as join a highly collaborative analytics team with a focus on process improvement and business enablement through technology.
- Key responsibilities include the build and maintenance of innovative data solutions, adding new features and enhancements to an existing mobile app, testing and data cleansing.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Ideal concentration Computer Information Systems or related discipline)
- 1+ years of experience in app development, automation, or related experience preferred
- Experience in end-to-end process development preferred
- Experience with database, ETL, Excel and OLAP methodologies preferred
- Experience documenting and communicating complex processes and solutions effectively to audiences with varying technical backgrounds
- Experience developing on Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft SQL Server strongly preferred
- Experience working with SAP, SAP Business Objects, and SAP HANA preferred
- Experience with Azure preferred
