We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to identify opportunities to leverage farm data for improving sustainability practices, animal welfare and environmental impact. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the agricultural industry.

About The Job

In the role as Senior Data Scientist you will bring insights and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise data analyses, visualizations, reports, and presentations. Moreover, you will be;

• Analysing on-farm data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for development towards Arla’s Strategic goals.
• Developing and implementing models to analyse the sustainability impact of farming practices and predict the impact of changes.
• Developing and delivering analysis and models to support commercialization of sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams in planning and concluding R&D projects.
• Collaborating with external research partners and industry stakeholders to leverage data and drive sustainable practices.
  
  

Who are you?

You hold a Master's Degree in statistics, agricultural science, environmental science, or a related field. Ideally, you also have a Ph.D. In addition to your academic background, you have experience in statistics, data analytics, and data science, specifically within the Agri-biological domain. This means that you possess an understanding of the interconnectivity in Agri-biological data.

Your proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R enables you to manipulate, analyse, and model data effectively. You also have a good knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modelling techniques. Moreover, you are experienced in using data visualization tools to communicate insights and findings in a clear and impactful manner.

With your strong analytical mindset, you are capable of structuring and interpreting complex datasets. This skill is especially valuable in your role, where you are expected to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Your excellent communication and organizational skills facilitate effective interaction with various stakeholders.

Given your experience, you are well-equipped to thrive in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting deadlines. Finally, your fluency in English is essential for effective communication in your role.
