Job description

Join Scania as a Data Analyst for Industrial Operations Accounting Services

Drive Sustainable Transport Solutions with Scania

Scania’s mission is to lead the way towards a sustainable transport system, contributing positively to business, society, and the environment. At Industrial Operations Accounting Services (IOAS), we play a crucial role by ensuring efficient financial processes and delivering high-quality accounting and reporting services supported by a robust master data foundation.

Your Role

As a Data Analyst, you will be pivotal in our transition from Oracle to SAP S4/Hana, where you’ll collaborate closely with our Data Stewards and the implementation team. This role offers dynamic opportunities to engage with stakeholders globally, contributing to the optimization of finance master data objects such as G/L accounts, profit centers, and cost centers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business needs and create change requests in JIRA and SAP Master Data Governance platform.
  • Handle large volumes of monthly transactions, identifying and resolving errors in SAP Central Finance mapping tables.
  • Harmonize cost center hierarchies across systems (Oracle and SAP).
  • Maintain responsibility for cost center and profit center data in SAP MDG.
  • Monitor master data logs to ensure data integrity and alignment.
  • Support Data Stewards with data cleansing, validation, and process setup.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders globally.

Your Team

You’ll join a diverse team of seven professionals within Corporate Control, focusing on master data, fixed asset accounting, and project administration. Our success is built on strong teamwork, open dialogue, and mutual support in achieving individual and team goals.

We offer you

We can offer you a dynamic workplace with diverse and challenging tasks in a hybrid work setup, meaning you can work from home a few days a week if the job allows.

We can also provide you with an individual development plan that you create together with your manager, so you can reach your goals and receive the right support along the way.

In addition to career and development opportunities, as an employee at Scania, we can offer you other benefits such as free training at Scania's own health center Gröndal or wellness allowance, performance bonuses, occupational pension, flexible working hours, lunch at a reduced price, the opportunity for a staff car and much more.

Scania also organizes several events throughout the year where family and friends are always welcome, which is usually highly appreciated by everyone. If you live in Stockholm, we also offer a direct bus service between Stockholm and Södertälje with Scania Jobexpress.

Your Profile

You are analytically minded, structured, and proactive, with strong problem-solving skills. A team player with excellent communication skills, you thrive in an agile environment that values continuous improvement and adaptability. Previous experience in a similar role, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with SAP S4/Hana are advantageous. Fluency in English is essential due to international interactions.
