Junior Data Engineer

HSPI S.p.A, a consultancy company in the IT sector active for over 20 years and part of the TXT Group, offers its clients services in Business Consulting, IT Governance, and Digital Innovation.

To expand its teams, HSPI is looking for a resource to join its Rome office as a Junior Data Engineer. The resource will play a key role in structuring systems and data.

Main responsibilities:

• Design, management, and implementation of ETL processes (e.g., Pentaho, Python, IBM Datastage, Talend, MS SQL Server Integration Services);
• Implementation of Datawarehouse solutions (e.g., Oracle, MYSQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL);
• Creation and implementation of scripting procedures for Pl/SQL databases;
• Development of Business Intelligence dashboards and reports (e.g., PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, Apache Superset);
• Development of pixel perfect reporting.
  
  
  

Required technical skills:

• At least 1 year of previous experience in the role;
• Ability and experience in data analysis and visualization techniques;
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL;
• Knowledge of PowerBI;
• Good command of English, both spoken and written.
  
  
  

Educational background: STEM degree (e.g., Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.).

Profile completion:

• Excellent analytical skills, precision, and ability to synthesize;
• Organizational autonomy and goal orientation;
• Problem-solving orientation and proactivity;
• Ability to manage communication and relationships with different types of interlocutors.
  
  
  

Considered a plus:

• Knowledge of Pentaho or other ETL tools;
• Knowledge of Apache Superset;
• Knowledge of data manipulation languages (Python, R, SAS, SPSS, etc.);
• Possession of technical and methodological certifications related to the insertion sector.
