Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Business Intelligence Data Engineer at the company, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data infrastructure, driving insights, and facilitating data-driven decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Assemble large, complex datasets to meet functional business requirements.
- Identify, design, and implement data collection and aggregation strategies to enhance scalability and automate manual processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to address data infrastructure needs and provide technical support.
- Work closely with the data engineering team to model data structures, architect data orchestration, and execute ETL procedures.
- Take ownership of projects from inception to delivery.
- Assist the analyst team in developing Tableau dashboards and conducting ad hoc data analysis.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ongoing ETL and data orchestration processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to drive data-informed decision-making processes.
- Undertake other data engineering projects as assigned by your manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or related technical field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role OR a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role.
- Proficiency in data warehousing languages such as Python and SQL, as well as data orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or equivalent technologies.
- Extensive experience with AWS technologies (Redshift, SQS/SNS, CloudFormation, RDS, Glue, S3, EC2) in a big data and decision support environment.
- Direct experience in managing large datasets from various SaaS business solutions and integrating them into reporting environments.
- Familiarity with SaaS business solutions, including at least one or more of: Intercom, Chargify, Netsuite, Salesforce, Zapier, Amplitude, Segment, Outreach, HubSpot.
- Project management skills, including the ability to generate, explain, and present detailed project metrics and documentation.
- Strong analytical skills with structured and unstructured datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with data streams from Kafka or similar technologies is a plus.
- General understanding of the residential real estate industry is advantageous.
