Job Description

Senior Data Scientist (Machine Learning)- climate/energy tech start-up - c.£80k + equity

I am working with an early stage startup who are looking for their first in-house senior data scientist. You will lead the development of ML models to analyse complex data sets in areas like power grids, traffic, demographics, and EV adoption.

You will work with a small team to conduct data analysis, optimise algorithms, publish white papers and mentor team members.

Experience

• Strong experience with cloud data and ML services.
• Proficiency in deep-learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.) & basic libraries for data science e.g. NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn
• Strong command of standard data science techniques - supervised/unsupervised ML, Bayesian inference, time-series analysis etc.
• Master's or PhD in relevant fields.
• Working at an early stage tech startup is a bonus
• Experience working with geospatial data would be great
