Role Description
This is a remote contract role for a Data Engineer. The Data Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with data engineering, including data modeling, Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, data warehousing, and data analytics. The Data Engineer will collaborate with a cross-functional team of analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to design and develop solutions for complex data challenges.
Qualifications
- Data Engineering and Data Modeling skills
- Expertise in ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes
- Data Warehousing knowledge and experience
- Data Analytics skillset
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or similar languages
- Ability to work independently and remotely
Responsibilities
- Data Infrastructure Development: Design and construct scalable and reliable data infrastructures to support real-time data processing and analytics for live game environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Data Pipeline Architecture: Build and optimize data pipelines, ensuring efficient data flow from various sources to our analytics platforms. Implement automation and monitoring to maintain data integrity and pipeline health.
- Business Intelligence Solutions: Develop and maintain BI tools and dashboards to provide real-time insights into game performance, player behavior, and monetization metrics, enabling data-driven decision-making across teams.
- Database Management and Optimization: Manage, tune, and scale database systems to ensure fast query performance and data accessibility. Implement data retention policies and optimize storage for cost efficiency.
- Data Warehousing and ETL Processes: Design and implement data warehousing solutions, developing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to aggregate and organize data from diverse sources for advanced analytics and reporting.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with data scientists, game developers, and product managers to integrate data-driven insights into game design, monetization strategies, and player retention initiatives.
- Data Quality Assurance: Establish data quality frameworks to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data used for analytics and business intelligence.
