Job Description

As a Senior Data Analyst in the Supply Chain department, specifically within the Demand and Assortment Planning team, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data to optimize our inventory management, forecasting, and assortment planning processes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze time series data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies related to demand forecasting and assortment planning.
  • Help develop models and algorithms to improve demand forecasting accuracy and optimize inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define metrics, and develop actionable insights.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of forecasting models, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in demand forecast and planning.

Hard Skills

  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical modeling techniques, with a focus on time series analysis.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience working with large datasets and performing data cleansing, transformation, and validation.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib/seaborn.
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles and inventory management concepts is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis and/or supply chain analytics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Experience working in the retail industry, particularly in supply chain management or demand planning.
  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and techniques for predictive modeling.
  • Previous experience with demand forecasting software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
