We are currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer with a robust skill set and a passion for Azure technologies to join our team. This is a remote opportunity with a focus on long-term project engagement.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement data solutions utilizing Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and related platforms.
Create and maintain ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and integration solutions in a cloud environment.
Implement best practices in data warehousing, data modeling, and dimensional modeling to ensure efficient data storage, management, and analytics.
Utilize programming languages such as Python, SQL, and PowerShell for data manipulation, automation, and scripting tasks.
Drive the adoption of lakehouse architecture principles for unified data storage, management, and analytics.
Ensure data quality and governance practices are implemented throughout the data lifecycle.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize performance bottlenecks as they arise.
Required Skills And Qualifications
Proven experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and related technologies.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PowerShell for data manipulation and automation tasks.
Strong understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling principles.
Experience with lakehouse architecture and data integration solutions.
Familiarity with platforms such as Delta Lake for transactional capabilities.
Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL database systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent problem-solving skills and communication abilities.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Terraform).
Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks.
Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration tools.
Proficiency in C# or .Net.
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as PowerBI.
