An exciting opportunity within the CDO Data Solutions team to play a key role in all data solution design activities on behalf of the Chief Data Office, working across our business within LGIM and L&G more broadly, to ensure we put data at the very heart of our operating model.

Education - Graduate in any stream; Post Graduate/MBA in Finance

Job Description -

Engage with business stakeholders, data users in the business to understand their business goals and challenges. Understand the internal customer needs and the wider industry direction. Understand and communicate customer needs, validate proposed solution. Understand (or learn) the intricacies of the business areas youre working with.

Actively communicate with the key stakeholders Business users, Solution and data Architects, Engineers, Data). Work with our customers, members of the CDO Team, Technology and the Change team.

Balance effective design with deployment of strategic / tactical components to suit each scenario

Deliver analysis artefacts incl. user stories, data flows, service descriptions with defined acceptance criteria and any associated mapping specifications for development and testing

Ensure that the definition of stories and prototypes enable them to be owned in BAU by appropriate teams (Data Operations and Business teams) once development is complete. Work with our Data Operations and Market Place teams to ensure designs are scalable, repeatable, and sustainable.

Organise, cleanse, align, and correlate vast, complicated data sets to gain insight.

Database querying, load, update, and transformation using various tools and systems. Data Ingestion and blending from multiple platforms and sources.

Utilise modern data visualization platforms (Tableau and PowerBI), their different components and understand how they fit into our strategic architecture.

Investigate Data Issues and identify root causes for data issues collaborating with all Data Stakeholders to enable a complete understanding of the problem and solution. Keep up to date on live issues and work with the development team to resolve them

Develop appropriate data controls as part of solutions

Enable data domain related methodology decisions by identifying business decisions required and preferred options based on value delivered
