Databuzz is presently seeking an experienced candidate for a Data Engineer role with one of our clients located in London. About the Client: Our client is a sports tech company that leverages AI and expert knowledge to offer data and analysis, addressing performance and commercial challenges in the sports and media industries. About the Role: As a Data Engineer you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining data architecture and infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Python, PySpark, SQL, and ETL processes, along with proven experience in implementing solutions in a cloud environment. Roles & Responsibilities: Experienced Data Engineer with a background in high-performance development teams. Extensive AWS Data Engineering experience, including implementing Amazon's frameworks, developing serverless solutions, and enhancing existing platforms using AWS technologies within Agile delivery methods. Proven expertise in Python, including data management and manipulation libraries, and the integration of Python with AWS components. Demonstrated experience in the data domain, encompassing the entire data pipeline from ingestion and mastering to management and distribution of large datasets. Mandatory Skills: 6+ Years of experience in Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Python, PySpark and SQL. Develop and maintain ETL processes to move data from various data sources to our data warehouse on AWS. Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to understand their data needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements. Develop and maintain data models and data dictionaries for our data warehouse. Develop and maintain documentation for our data pipelines and data warehouse. Continuously improve the performance and scalability of our data solutions.
