We're currently seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our AI & Automation Solutions team. In this role, you will provide expert guidance on Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts, contribute to technical design reviews, and play a pivotal role in building text corpuses for classification models. Your expertise will extend to training and re-training virtual agent intents, executing virtual agent performance measurement strategies, and continuously exploring and prototyping the latest data science concepts related to NLP and Natural Language Understanding (NLU).
As a Data Scientist, you will collaborate with AI & Automation Solution Consultants, Enterprise Architects, IVA Developers, and Conversational Designers to ensure the highest levels of accuracy and performance in AI-based solutions, including virtual agents and agent-guided solutions.
Job Requirements
NLP Expertise: Knowledge of NLP concepts and hands-on experience in building Text classification ML/statistical models. Ability to make data-driven decisions for training and re-training virtual agent intents.
Machine Learning: Experience designing and implementing algorithms, such as clustering, decision tree learning, and text mining. Ability to articulate their real-world advantages and drawbacks.
Statistical Methodology: Understanding of advanced techniques and concepts, including A/B testing, regression, and statistical tests. Ability to evaluate model performance.
Business Acumen: Ability to comprehend the bigger picture for customers and the business, probing beyond stakeholders' stated requests to understand their needs and the value of information.
Required Qualifications
Graduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, or similar quantitative field.
8+ years' experience in Python, R, and applied statistics.
6+ years' experience with bot frameworks such as IBM Watson, Amazon Lex, and Google Dialogflow.
Experience with Big Data tools such as Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana, Apache Kafka, NiFi, Apache Spark, Neo4J, Predictive Insights, and Splunk.
Experience with Deep Learning Frameworks.
Experience with interpretability of deep learning models.
Python experience with ML libraries, such as SciKit Learn, TensorFlow, and Keras on both CPU and GPU compute architectures.
Hands-on experience working on platforms/environments such as Rasa is a plus.
Hands-on experience with GPT-3 or GPT-J is a ++.
This role offers a fully remote option for candidates residing at least 50 miles away from our San Francisco or San Ramon office locations. For those within 50 miles, it is a hybrid role.
