Who are we hiring?

As a data analyst specializing in Food and Merchandise accounting, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, providing financial insights, conducting analysis, and supporting strategic decision making within the organization. Your role will involve leveraging advanced data analytics techniques, automating processes, and manipulating large datasets to optimize financial performance. You will work closely with finance transformation team, all accounting/finance teams and other stakeholders to drive efficiency and enhance performance while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

What will you do?

  • Conduct in depth analysis of financial data, including – but not limited to: revenue, expenses, inventory using advanced data analytics tools and techniques. Providing actionable insights where applicable.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance transformation teams to design and implement process flows and narratives for all areas of F&B.
  • Develop an automated process for credit card tender reconciliation process and support G/L close process, including month-end reconciliation for SOX purposes
  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation technologies to streamline processes, enhance controls, and improve both efficiency and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Develop custom reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI to visualize key performance indicators and trends for management review.
  • Manage and manipulate large datasets from multiple sources ensuring data integrity, consistency, and relevance. Utilize advanced Excel skills to extract, transform and load data for analysis and GL recording purposes.
  • Stay informed of emerging trends and best practices in data analytics, automation, and financial technology, applying relevant innovations to drive continuous improvement in financial operations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, analysis and explanations related to financial transactions and processes. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and regulatory requirements.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Up to 2 years of experience who can demonstrate a general understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficient in one or more data analysis tools (R, Python, SQL, SPSS, etc.)
  • Experience with one or more data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel Knowledge
  • Strong statistics background with experience in statistical modeling
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to develop relationships across multiple business groups
  • Highly advanced analytical skills and ability to learn new reporting platforms
  • Ability to communicate clearly complex findings, be pro-active and outgoing with project management and with the ability to unify people around multiple projects will have highest probability for success.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to explain complex analytical concepts in short-hand to a broad audience
  • Strong MS Office skill level (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills

Pay Range

$65,000—$95,000 USD
