Data Analyst - Digital Experience

Job description

We are looking for a someone with a passion for digital analytics to join our young and progressive team.

The ideal candidate should be data-driven, has a growth mindset and eager to initiate new ideas. This role will be the subject matter expert of web analytics in the Hong Kong business unit, who will be responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of web data, with the aim of improving customer experience and increasing conversions. This is an excellent opportunity for those who would like to gain valuable experience and develop their skills in the area of digital analytics.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage Zurich’s web analytics tech stack as the subject matter expert (SME) in web analytics, tag management system (TMS) and data visualization.
  • Work closely with web developers and UI/UX designers to ensure customer behaviour in web journeys are correctly measured, particularly by creating custom events and setting up datalayer to capture specific information.
  • Regularly monitor user behaviour on Zurich’s public websites, online purchase journeys and customer portals, derive insights and provide suggestions to continuously optimize the UX.
  • In particular, measure effectiveness of various traffic sources, including organic, referral and paid ads, in acquiring users. Support the team lead in recommending actionable ways to optimize each acquisition channel.
  • Implement A/B testing on Zurich’s web platforms to boost conversions and enhance UX.
  • Visualize data in meaningful ways using dashboards to inform decisions of senior management and key stakeholders, including Product, Distribution, Marketing, Claims and Customer Care.
  • Collaborate with in-house IT and/or manage external vendors for matters related to web analytics.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (major/concentration in Marketing or Digital Marketing),Computer Science, or any related majors.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in data analytics, digital marketing, web content management, project management or other relevant disciplines.
  • Proficient in SQL, BigQuery and Power BI or other data visualization tools.
  • Strong experience in web analytics and tag management, particularly with knowledge in custom events creation, UTM parameter management and datalayer configuration.
  • Sound understanding of customer journey and UI/UX design best practice, Proven track records of enhancing customer experience and driving conversions with data-driven insights.
  • Knowledgeable in web management concepts, e.g. page architecture, URL structure, redirection, etc is highly preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills, comfortable in communicating effectively across different functions, cultural backgrounds and seniority levels to drive results.
  • Ability to break down and resolve complex business problems is essential.
  • A self-starter while also a good team player.
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written Chinese and English.
