Data Analyst (Procurement)

For our growing Procurement team, we are currently looking for a Data Analyst, who will drive consistent, complete, and accurate data and high-quality procurement decision-making. You will work within the Global Procurement Excellence group supporting Category Leads as well as other Procurement colleagues to meet the company’s business requirements. In this role you will assist Procurement colleagues in multiple KION sites across North America, Europe, and APAC with high-quality procurement master data including supplier information, spend, buyer codes, material groups.

Tasks and Qualifications:


What you will do:


  • You will maintain standard and governance across Business Units on data management
  • You will use procurement data and reporting to identify ITS/SCS synergies and support decision making committees
  • You will provide accurate, reliable and updated data to obtain category KPIs to support strategy implementation
  • You will ensure data availability and readiness to timely support strategic decisions and CTO flight plan implementation
  • You will provide good quality and reliable data to analyze KION supplier base to identify opportunities
  • You will ensure suppliers are onboarded following the designed processes by authorized users
  • You will enrich and validate data with verified third-party databases
  • You will keep key procurement data up to date in procurement tools
  • You will identify and extract relevant data and run analysis to provide KION Procurement with insights
  • You will prepare reporting and Procurement KPI with data visualization techniques
  • You will rollout KION Procurement Data Governance initiatives
  • You will define target and actions to measure data in terms of accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, integrity, uniqueness
  • You will support mapping and alignment of ITS/SCS data guidelines and data initiatives

What will you need to succeed in the role?


Must-have:


  • Bachelor or Master's in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, Statistic , or equivalent university degree
  • Relevant experience (min. 3 years) in similar position
  • Experience with Snowflake (SQL coding basic)
  • Advanced analytical skills with expertise in MS Excel (e.g. Pivot table),
  • Good knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Power BI and Tableau
  • Experience with SAP
  • Data consolidation & presentation skills


Nice-to-have:


  • Familiarity with Procurement and Supply Chain management
  • Experience with SAP R3, SAP 4/HANA experience (Module MM)
