Extra Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Data Analyst for one of our clients based in Birmingham. This is a hybrid position with a minimum of 1 day a week in the office. The Data Analyst will be responsible for improving the UK’s money and debt environment by devising and delivering research and insight strategies, whilst supporting our work to drive impactful change for clients. Championing effective use of data throughout your day-to-day work and supporting colleagues working with data to drive decision making.
Data Analyst Responsibilities:
Scope and develop KPI’s, metrics and reporting dashboards using Power BI & SQL
Scope, document and develop reports from scratch using SQL/Power BI/Excel
Work directly with stakeholders and users to gather requirements, provide status updates and build relationships
Proactively analyse data to answer key questions for stakeholders or yourself, with an eye on what drives performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement
Represent the team to internal colleagues and potentially the Trust when meeting with external partners/stakeholders
Assist in preparing short-notice briefings for senior management and press spokespeople
To uphold good practice and undertake any such duties as are appropriate to the post
Data Analyst Details:
Salary: £33,781
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid)
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Data Analyst Requirements:
Experience in an analytical role working with data
Demonstrable experience working with SQL/Power BI/DAX/SSIS/SSRS and other Microsoft BI Stack applications with an aptitude for learning other analytics tools
Relevant experience of analysing
Experience supporting colleagues with using data to support performance management and strategic decision-making
Significant experience of data validation work, using both manual and automated methods
Experience of automating reporting and identifying other methods to improve efficiency
Expert Level Excel & Other Microsoft Office Applications Experience
Experience of data warehouse design
Experience designing and delivering customer research programs and surveys
Experience working with external stake holders
Experience of participating in and presenting at external meetings
Experience of project management, drafting and presenting project report
