WHO YOU ARE At present, we’re building an Azure-based data platform to meet the expanding reporting and data management requirements of the Forestlands team. As the sole data engineer on the Digitalization team, you’ll play a crucial role. And looking ahead, there are plans to expand the team in the future, with this position potentially taking the lead.

We would love to talk with you if you recognize yourself in some of the following:

* University degree in computer science, or a related field.
* 3 -5 relevant working experience in Data Engineering
* Broad knowledge of SQL for data processing and analysis
* Develop data solutions leveraging Azure services, such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics and
other Azure Data Services
* Development and maintenance of data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Azure
services
* Proficiency in data engineering tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, ETL frameworks, cloud platforms)
* Excited about IKEA’s core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people
* A team player who takes ownership builds cross-functional relationships with peers, and loves sharing
knowledge with other team members
* Most of all someone that likes to learn new things and improve their skills!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY * The Data Engineer will be a hands-on contributor in finding solutions to questions like:
* How do we design, build, test and maintain data products and cloud-based services to promote data
consumption?
* How should we ingest, merge, transform, and serve data to enable usage at the global scale?
* How can we implement data models, schemas, and pipelines to satisfy both user needs and non-functional
requirements?
