Data Scientist - Machine Learning

Summary

As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets using machine learning techniques. Your typical day will involve working with Python, performing data analysis and munging to extract insights and patterns from large data sets.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the effort to design, build and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models using Python and associated libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
• Conduct detailed analysis of complex data sets, employing statistical methodologies and data munging techniques for actionable insights, alongside a robust understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, applying expertise in diverse machine learning algorithms, including experience in implementing various algorithms such as linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, and clustering algorithms.
• Communicate technical findings effectively to stakeholders, utilizing data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI for clarity.
  
  

Professional & Technical Skills

• Ability to explain complicated concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences, influencing stakeholders on recommended actions.
• Act as technical liaison and actively engage with business stakeholders, development/ engineering teams and other shared services like Architecture and Governance teams.
• Experience in Requirement Engineering, Solution Architecture, Development and Deployment of IT solution in Big Data/Business Intelligence and Analytics/ Machine Learning
• Experience of Statistical analysis techniques, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence methods desirable
• Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem and good understanding of distributed computing paradigms (Clustering/Distributed Computing, Storage, Data Centre Networking)
• Acquiring knowledge of relevant data analytics and AI/ ML technologies and demonstrate benefits by doing POCs where necessary.
• Experience in building analytical tools to generate insightful analysis to drive recommendations, identify patterns, relationships, and problems to help the bank improve their business.
• Experience in handling high volume and real time streaming datasets with cloud-based tools such as AWS, GCP
• Detail oriented and proven ability to understand business and non-functional requirements and transform into fully functional technical solution.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Understanding of Micro Services Application Architecture
• Understanding of K8s/Docker concepts
• Working knowledge of data bricks/snowflake etc.
  
  

Additional Information

• The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Science.
• The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions.
