You will be working as a Data Analyst and will be part of HR Service Business Area for HR Excellence Division based in Bangalore, India.

In this role, you will be reporting to HR Operations Team Lead. You will be working with a dynamic and fast paced team that supports business leaders and HR community with analysis and insights to create business strategies in areas of Talent Performance and Culture. You will also be responsible for delivering global reports and projects helping to shape the future of ABB.

Your responsibilities

  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to help them conceptualize KPIs in areas of Talent Performance Culture and build statistical and analytics solutions from scratch and have a strong bias towards creating clean, powerful, user focused visualizations to deliver actionable insights and analysis
  • Technologies used would vary based on purpose from Python, Snowflake, Power BI, Advanced Excel, VBA, or any other new technology
  • Independently interacting and managing Global ABB leadership to seek and provide meaningful and actionable insights in all interactions
  • Owning design and on time delivery of actionable insights by requirement gathering, data extraction to reporting/presenting the findings in IC role or with the team as per project needs
  • You are to be constantly on the lookout for ways to enhance value for your respective stakeholders/clients
  • Developing frameworks, plug n play solutions using diagnostic, predictive and machine learning techniques on Snowflake/ Python
  • Executing strategic projects to help ABB drive excellence in people, performance and culture
  • Willingness to learn and implement the learning in an innovative manner
  • Team player with excellent collaboration skills required to work in a global virtual work environment: self starter, self motivated and able to lead small to id size projects

Your background

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Applied Statistics/Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research or related field
  • At least 2 to 4 years of experience in consulting, shared services or software development with strong data analysis techniques using technologies like Excel, VBA Scripting, Python, Snowflake
  • Understanding of SAP/Workday HCM system is an added advantage
  • Experience in designing and maintaining dashboards/reports providing diagnostic and forecasting view using VBA, PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau
  • Candidate should have “Can-do” attitude with excellent quantitative skills, with an ability to work on large datasets. The candidate should be able to generate actionable insights from data analysis that translate to valuable business decisions for the client
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skill and can build story with fragmented data
  • Zeal to learn new technologies and continuous improvement
  • Highly proficient in MS office with excellent communication and storytelling skills to present data findings and advise technical and non technical teams
