CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Agronomy group. We are looking for a Data Analyst to help support a variety of projects that will range in scale and complexity. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills by learning from and collaborating with a talented team of business and IT professionals.

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for using your knowledge of data processing software and business development strategies to provide sound business decisions to company Executives. Duties include collaborating with other data professionals to extract data figures, creating reports based on their findings, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to determine business initiatives' success.

As a Data Analyst, your assignments may include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data
  • Use graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data
  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions
  • Structure large data sets to find usable information
  • Transform data from disparate sources to provide normalized reporting results
  • Work with a team of analysts and other associates to process information
  • Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings
  • Work with business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement

Basic Qualifications: (required)

  • Proficient with and direct work application of one or more of the following data visualization or analytics tools:
  • Power BI
  • Tableau
  • ACL
  • IDEA
  • Technical writing skills & coding skills in languages such as SQL
  • Direct work experience creating executive level dashboards, analytics, and reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, customer focus, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated with confirmed leadership abilities, presentation skills and be able to function in a team-oriented environment with resource and time constraints.
  • Ability to provide front-end data analysis, requirements gathering, design, testing & documentation.
  • strong analytical skills both technical and business.

Preferred qualifications: (desired)

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related degree (STEM), or equivalent experience
  • Experience with statistical software
  • Training/Experience with database management technologies in the data analytics context
  • Technical writing skills & coding skills in languages such as Python, Spark or R.
  • Training/Experience with RPA
  • Training/Experience in Lean and Agile methodologies

location: Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota

salary: $70 - 85 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm
