Function

The Data Scientist applies strong expertise in artificial intelligence through use of machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval to design, prototype and build next generation advanced analytics engines and services. The data scientist collaborates with business partners to define the technical problem statement and hypotheses to test; develops efficient and accurate analytical models that mimic business decisions and incorporates them into analytical data products or tools with the support of a cross-functional team.

• Develop and maintain efficient and accurate Machine Learning & AI models
• Collaborate with business partners to define technical problem statements and develop hypotheses
• Apply mainly forecasting, image recognition and LLM solutions to design and prototype models answering to business challenges
• Merge and transform disparate internal & external data sets to create new features and select the right features to improve the effectiveness of your models
• Explain results and limitations of your model to the business users
• Monitor the effective results of your model in a production environment and decide about the strategy (training pace, adding new features …) to keep excellent results
• Stay updated on data science trends and technologies, and gain exposure to new techniques and tools
• Collaborate with business partners, analysts, and team members on data science standards and practices
• Share passion for Data Science with broader enterprise community; identify and develop long-term processes, frameworks, tools, methods, and standards
  

Your Profile

• Must have proficiency with Machine Learning to solve clustering, classification, regression, anomaly detection, simulation and optimization problems on large scale data sets
• Experience with Big Data technologies desired — Cloud AI platforms (Azure), Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage and any Features Store
• Familiarity with programming languages (Python) and SQL
• Experience with supporting deployment, monitoring, maintenance and enhancement of models desired
• To interact with data during the discovery stage and to create new features
• Must have proficiency writing SQL queries
• Must have proven ability to merge and transform disparate internal & external data sets together to create new features
• Experience with data visualization tools preferred – Plotly and Power BI
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and deliver outstanding results
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to learn and solve new business domains and problems
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics with 5+ years of experience or a Master degree in a quantitative discipline with 3+ years of experience
• Intellectual curiosity and ability to answer questions and understand inherent biases in data
• Ability to coach, mentor, and collaborate with business partners, analysts, and team members
