Senior Data Scientist (m/f/d)

Job description

Our partner, a well-known international corporation, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist (m/f/d) to join their team. This is a full-time position in the Düsseldorf metropolitan area, Germany (1-2 days in an office weekly).

Relocation from abroad is possible.

In this exclusive role, you will be a key player in data squad realizing variety of data products in financial and supply chain improvement areas.

Tasks

  • Develop robust, scalable, and interpretable analytical models that are easily integrated into data products.
  • Engineer features to integrate diverse internal and external data sources in innovative ways.
  • Establish and enhance long-term processes, frameworks, tools, methods, and standards for analytical excellence.
  • Mentor a growing team of experienced Data Scientists and stay connected with external sources for new ideas and advancements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design innovative solutions using advanced analytical methods and technologies.
  • Promote and educate the organization on the importance of data-driven decision-making, emphasizing problem-solving methodologies.
  • Lead the development of analytical approaches and integrate them into business applications, working closely with data engineers, business leaders, analysts, and developers.

Requirements

  • Academic background in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or Statistics.
  • Proven expertise in Data Science with proficiency in Python or R, and advanced SQL query writing.
  • Skilled in Machine Learning techniques for clustering, classification, regression, anomaly detection, simulation, and optimization on large datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate and transform various internal and external data sources to create new features.
  • Experience in supporting the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement of analytical models.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies, particularly within the Azure ecosystem, and proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau (desired)
  • Fluency in English at a C1 level and above
