Junior Data Analyst / Machine Learning Engineer

DataPhant is a startup based in Switzerland. Our mission is to help other companies become as efficient as possible using Artificial Intelligence. We build custom AI models, fine-tune Large Language Models, build chatbots as well as AI-powered data analysis pipelines helping customers achieve their peak productivity.

The Role

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand proposed use cases and translate them into actionable tasks for machine learning projects.
• Analyze and prepare data for modeling, including identifying proofs of concept (PoCs).
• Design and implement machine learning models, iteratively refining them to meet customer satisfaction.
• Build automated data pipelines to ingest and process structured and unstructured data from various sources.
• Document both the implemented machine learning models and data pipelines for clarity and future reference.
  
  

Ideal Profile

• You are a self-starter and are able to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience with deep learning, natural language processing (NLP) and/or LLMs.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with software development in one or more programming languages (including Python).
• Experience with data analysis, data cleaning, LLM prompting and model development.
• Experience with database languages like SQL and commonly used Python libraries like Pandas and TensorFlow.
• Fluency in English to effectively liaise with the stakeholders of the region.
