Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of Production-Ready QlikView Applications for Actuarial Valuation Reporting and Analysis.
  • Oversight of Reporting Database Developer and Qlik Analysts.
  • Adherence to VST Standards in Architecture, Programming, and Documentation.
  • Guidance for Interpreting Actuarial Requirements into IT Solutions.
  • Offering Alternative Solutions to RP&C Analysts.
  • Ownership of Data Issues and Reporting Spec Gaps.
  • Building a Strategic Partnership with RP&C Team.
  • Overview of Reporting Applications and Feeds.
  • Understanding of LoB Specific Feed Requirements.
  • Understanding of Interactions Between RP&C and D&S Teams.
  • Collaborative Model Participation and Interaction.
  • Solid Grasp of Reporting Development Process.
  • Adherence to Standard VST Annex Development Process.
  • Knowledge of Existing Data in Warehouse.
  • Understanding of Line of Business Strategy.
  • Knowledge of Team Structure for Ongoing Support.
  • Program Updates and Team Work Plan Generation.

What you will need to succeed:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experienced in SQL Management Studio.
  • Proficient in SSRS Portal (or similar portal).
  • Skilled in Power BI.
  • Advanced ability in navigating Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with navigating CRM-type reporting warehouses.
  • Proficient in managing Microsoft Outlook Inbox.
  • Experienced in administrative tasks involving managing Excel files.
  • Experience in QlikView Development for Actuarial Reporting.
  • Ability to Interpret Actuarial Requirements.
  • Understanding of Reporting and Analytics Requirements.
  • Technical Proficiency in QlikView and Database Development.
  • Experience in Iterative Prototyping and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Experience in Application Conversion and Integration.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing Skill.
  • Documentation Skills for Technical Specifications.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset.
  • Knowledge of VST Standards and Processes.
  • Strategic Thinking and Partnership Building.
  • Leadership and Management Skills.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management Skills.
  • Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to answer emails – Will be sending a lot of emails.
