About the Role:
We are excited to offer this opportunity for a highly analytical and motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in a permanent capacity.
This role plays a critical role in applying skills and expertise in the Digital Innovation R&D team for the building of AI-based applications, machine learning models, and associated tools and infrastructure for delivering innovative projects across a wide range of initiatives.
The successful applicant for this role will lead a diverse range of activities including: the development and management of training and test datasets, applying highly-evolved software engineering skills and techniques to develop, deploy and improve models and applications. You will work with the team on selecting the appropriate technology to address identified business problems. The team has a strong focus on computer vision and generative AI techniques, associated data management and cloud computing infrastructure but can be called on to identify, research and apply other technologies and techniques that solves a problem for the business.
In order to succeed in this this role, you will need to maintain a broad view of technology and how it can be applied to the challenges of the business. You will need to manage an appropriate balance of self-direction and collaboration, to think clearly and systematically about problems, and communicate effective approaches to address them and apply drive and enthusiasm to prove out the solutions.
