Your role

Data Engineers are the foundation of the Data and AI profession, applying their expertise to ensure governance and management, and influencing business decisions by the stories they tell with data.

At Capgemini, this multifaceted specialism has significant experience across traditional warehousing technologies and databases, Big Data and Cloud. There is never a dull moment in this career path!

• Integrate, transform and consolidate data from various structured and unstructured data systems.
• Ensure data pipelines and data stores are high-performing, efficient, organized, and reliable, given a set of business requirements and constraints.
• Create and design data models.
• Translate functional requirements into a scalable, fit-for-use technical design.
• Own the delivery of data modelling and data pipelines.
• Helping clients defining a data strategy.
• Implementing a new operating model which supports innovation and acceleration through data & analytics.
• Identifying new use cases for getting value from data and prioritizing them.
  
  
  

Your profile

• A Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Applied Economics, Computer Science or equivalent through experience.
• An MBA or an additional Master’s degree is a plus.
• You are fluent in English and French or Dutch. Proficiency in both French and Dutch is a plus.
• You are passionate about data and how it can transform and improve businesses.
• You have a good understanding of Data strategy, Data Governance, Data Modelling and Data Quality, and are able to explain these concepts to business users in a comprehensible way.
• You are eager to help companies organize themselves to make data an asset.
• A first experience in a data visualization tool such as Oracle Analytics, or MS PowerBI is a plus.
• Proficiency in SQL is a big plus.
• Knowledge about data modeling concepts is a plus.
