We are looking for a Data Analyst (m/f/d) for our Operational Controlling Analytics Team. This position can be filled at the headquarters in Mannheim.


Your Tasks

  • Analytic support of with internal departments centrally as well as within 20+ countries with a focus on wholesale and retail performance and category analysis with the target of improving performance and sharing best practices.
  • Support in further strengthening Wholesale and Retail analytics through the use of existing internal data sources as well externally data elements where applicable.
  • Building an overview and doing analysis on current reports used centrally as well as in the countries to ensure continuous improvement and relevance of data products provided to internal customers.
  • Give analytical evidence as to why we do/ should do certain things, thereby challenging and contributing to decisions based on these insights.
  • Build a bridge between analytics on the one hand and commercial needs on the other hand, ultimately focusing on having an impact on the commercial success of PHOENIX.
  • Developing elegant solutions for complex problems.


Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in economics or informatics / data science field
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience in database querying and database design
  • Experience in the retail industry/ category management is a plus
  • Very good SQL Scripting, additional programming skills are welcome (R, Python)
  • You are detail oriented, have good data entry, research, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in working with IQVIA data and/or medical information is a plus
  • Very good knowledge of Power BI
  • You have a very good command of English to be able to collaborate with international teams to solve problems.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and feel comfortable working in an international environment
