Department Overview:Digital Solutions builds automation, analytics and artificial intelligence solutions that drive success for Cardinal Health by creating material savings, efficiencies, and revenue growth opportunities. The team drives business innovation by leveraging emerging technologies and turning them into differentiating business capabilities. This position is for Pharma Supply Chain Digital Solutions team who works closely with Pharma Supply chain business unit. 

Job Overview:The primary role of the Senior Data Analyst is to support and expand the Data & Analytics platforms that process, store, organize the data critical for the logistics business. This role will lead the technical strategy and execution to provide trusted, stable, reliable, responsive, and secure solutions and proactively inform business partners on problem resolution for roadmap items. This role will have expertise in data movement and database technologies support data.  This person will work collaboratively with data engineers, offshore developers, and business users to solve business problems and deliver solutions. Ideal candidate would be a problem solver and data thinker who can work closely with business teams to explore solutions while also working with technical teams to help them translate business problems into technical requirements.

  • Participate in technical data platform strategy as tools, products, and business needs evolve.
  • Develop technical data mapping and advanced analytics solutions/models to solve business problems through GCP BQ, AtScale, Tableau, Looker.
  • Asks probing questions to translate business needs to build and design reporting solutions (metric management, dashboards, enterprise performance management).
  • Apply BI&A development methodology to problem solving (Define, Develop, Validate, and Implement).
  • Collaborate with business resources to solve complex problems through data analytics.
  • Uses knowledge of business and data to discover and/or anticipate problems or opportunities where data can be leveraged to address the need.
  • Ensure technical specifications are aligned with both business needs and technical design standards.
  • Partner with external consultants, solution providers, and managed services organizations to enable product/solution development as well as meeting documented standards.
  • Interact with multiple business functions in logistics team to track project progress, identify risks, communicate risks and status to leadership, and to assess potential impacts to the business.
  • Generate ideas and suggestions for process and technical improvements for platforms and processes supported by the team.
  • Willingness to become a techno-functional expert in the solutions being implemented.
  • Use strong verbal and written communication skills that non-technical business and end-users can understand.
  • Develop best practices for solution and tool frameworks, leveraging standard naming conventions, scripting, and coding practices to ensure consistency of data solution.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in related field, including experience with specific tools in scope such as data platforms including SAP HANA, GCP Big Query, and SQL Server preferred.
  • Experience with other tools such as Tableau, Looker, GCP BQ, Alteryx required.
  • Experience with data query, visualization, dashboard and/or scorecard tools preferred
  • Extensive experience performing Analysis, Visualization, Reporting
  • Extensive experience with prescriptive analysis.
  • Ability to lead projects independently required.
  • Experience with advanced analytics for exploration is a plus.
  • Experience in Big Data systems, Data Lakes and Analytics related field.
  • Hands on experience in Data Analysis/validation/data mapping and proficient in SQL queries.
  • Experience developing Business/Functional Requirement documentation and facilitating requirement work sessions with Business Units/Clients
  • Expert knowledge of BI Reporting and Data Discovery tools
  • Experience with business-critical applications.
  • Experience with data mining.
  • Experience with Python a plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial implications of projects.
  • Experience on large-scale implementation programs preferred.
  • Basic understanding of data science concepts is a plus.
  • Supply Chain experience is a plus (not required).
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills in an internal client facing role with ability to present information and findings clearly in analysis/reports.
  • Ability to influence peers and team members on ideas.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent work experience preferred.

Anticipated salary range: $102,000 - $145,700
