We are seeking a full-time Data Analyst to join our Data team in our New York City office. As the newest member of the team , y ou will partner with co lleagues across the firm and be the creative thought leader ensuring that data - driven decisions are being mad e. You will lead initiatives by partnering with teams across the firm like Operations, Marketing, Product, Financ e , Sa les and Engineering to provide them with the data modeling , reporting, and analytics support they need to make impactful decisions. Our ideal candidate is a strong cr oss-function al communicator with a proven ability to solve open-ended problems in an elegant, scalable manner. Responsibilities

  • Enable data-driven decision-making by becoming an expert in Alternative Investments and CAIS data, lever aging this exper tise to s upport stakeholder groups.
  • Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboar ds and reports to effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, execute analytics requests, and provide domain expert support.
  • Work with the Product and Engineering team s to roll out new products /serv ices to our platform , support data migration activ ities, and monitor their success through reporting or events tracking .
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data governance and cataloging efforts by mapping out data assets in need of proper ownership and definitions, develop ing data governance policies , and promoting its adopt ion firm-wide
  • Contribute to building our Data practice by creating training materials, customer-facing assets, and internal resources.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in data a nalysis or similar roles, preferably in the T echnology or F inancial S ervices i ndustry .
  • Strong data modeling and reporting skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools to tell compelling data-driven stories.
  • Ability to understand complex ideas, break them down into actionable plans, and deliver solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with various teams across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data / Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information System s or a related field .
  • Experience with cloud databases (e.g., Snowflake, AWS ) and transformation tools ( e.g., dbt ) .
  • Experience with Tableau or similar Business Intelligence tools.
  • Experience with Lucidchart , Visio, or similar diagramming tools.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and programming languages.

CAIS’ compensation package includes a market competitive salary, a performance bonus, and exceptional benefits. If you are located in New York, New York, the base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $125,000 . Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
