Your job:
We are looking for an addition to our automation team of Machine Learning and Data Automation Engineers. As our new Lead Machine Learning Engineer you will work closely with our CIO, the automation team and Geo Data Specialists at our headquarter in Nørresundby. The Automation Team works on continuously automating and improving our map production line, bringing valuable tools to our team of Geo Data Specialists. You will play a key role in planning, prioritizing and handling the day to day management of the team. Your work day will be an exciting mix of the management related tasks and development of state-of-the-art machine learning techniques with a focus on graph neural networks.
The goal is to handle a substantially increased map production volume by automating the manual and (semi-)automated processes using machine learning techniques. You will participate in the full life cycle of the automation processes from design over implementation to deployment and calibration. We use Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes as our platforms of choice. Our efforts involve step by step improvements of existing processes. We use Scrum to break down and plan our work.
The automation team as well as the rest of MapsPeople is growing, so this is also a unique chance to put your mark on how the team evolves.
Specifically, your job is to:
- Be team lead and scrum master for the automation team
- Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms.
- Develop functional prototypes and production tools, and deliver data science and analytical results.
- Perform statistical analysis and machine learning modelling.
- Extract and analyze complex information from our databases, selecting and modeling appropriate datasets and graph representations.
Your profile:
To be successful in this position you are a team player and a powerhouse in all things machine learning related. Ideally you have 5+ years of industry experience within all or some of these areas:
- Graph neural networks and the deep learning domain.
- Machine Learning frameworks using PyTorch, Tensorflow, Keras etc.
- Building auto-scaling ML Systems.
- Programming in Python.
It is a must that you have previous experience with the team lead role and deep learning, and if you furthermore have experience with computer vision it is an advantage.

You communicate fluently in English. Proficiency in Danish is not a requirement.
