Digital Biomarker Data Engineer (m/f/d)

Job description

Beschreibung

For our international partner based in Basel, we are looking for a qualified and motivated Digital Biomarker Data Engineer for a temporary contract of one year with a possible extension.

Digital tools, such as smartphones or wearables, can now continually measure and collect vital health information – or “Digital Biomarkers”. Digital Biomarkers are changing how future medicines will be developed and could lead to more personalized use of new medications that will transform the lives of patients. Advances in wearable devices, such as phones, watches, textiles or delivery devices, which track a patient’s vital signs and monitor for symptoms, all have the potential to vastly accelerate clinical development.

Our customer collects large quantities of digital sensor data through our studies, and must maintain the highest standards of data quality and integrity to enable us to deliver on our goals of deriving reliable and useful measures of impairment. To help us fulfil our mission, we are looking for a motivated and skilled data engineer to join our team. We welcome applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds.

  • Collaborate with the data backend team and the data analysis team on deriving requirements and implementing solutions for guaranteeing end-to-end data integrity
  • Collaborate with other teams across the organization to develop and maintain file format specifications documents according to current standards
  • Communicate with senior stakeholders about issues of data formats, data integrity and data quality
  • Support the data science team in performing analyses, especially regarding data quality and reproducibility.

  • Some experience in leading data pipelines (e.g. ITIL pipelines)
  • Stakeholdermanagement experience
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills
  • Experience working independently within a collaborative team
