Our awesome AI team is growing and we offer students the opportunity to join us part-time as a cloud data engineer during their final year of studies.

About the role
We are building a state-of-the-art data platform in the cloud. It empowers our data scientists to develop new AI/ML models as well as democratizes data across the organization.
What you will do:
- Work with massive amounts of data: from digital to physical touchpoints, from items to recipes, from assortment to suppliers, from locations to routes, etc
- Build data pipelines from various sources to the data platform, including real-time pipelines with Kafka
- Structure data in layers from raw to curated (bronze, silver and gold) and democratize data for different users in the organization
- Be part of developing our ML solutions
- Work in a team of data engineers and data scientists, in cross collaboration with many different parts of Coop
Skills & Requirements
We believe that an ideal candidate is:
- A last year student within a degree in Computer Science, Machine learning or numerate subject
- Familiar with Spark and other big data frameworks.
- Has experience working with data pipelines in cloud environments, preferably in Azure and Databricks.
- Has strong programming skills in Python and SQL
- Familiar with Kafka, and the principles and concepts of event-driven architecture and streaming data
- Familiar with Kubernetes and software development best practices
