What you'll do
We are looking for highly talented data scientists and software engineers that have a high interest in combining machine learning with a focus on natural language processing (NLP) and software development as machine learning engineers. In your new role:
- You will optimize existing machine learning models for root-cause classification of HANA errors by applying classification models and semantic text analysis
- You will also integrate these models into our CI/CD infrastructure.
- As a result you contribute to quality improvements of HANA Cloud for our customers and reduce manual efforts.
What you bring
Bachelor/Master degree in computer science or machine learning (or related technical discipline)- Excellent programming skills in Python
- Good knowledge with machine learning (NLP) and statistical modeling techniques
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Experience with Linux / Unix
- Ability to work well in a globally distributed team
- Verbal and written working proficiency in German and English
Beneficial skills you might have additionally:
- Experience with Git
- Using container technologies (Docker)
- Experience with cloud computing/orchestration (Mesos, Kubernetes, Terraform)
- Experience with Python development frameworks (SQLAlchemy, Flask)
- Experience with Machine Learning Libraries (sklearn, genism, numpy)
- Experience with hyperscaler machine learning pipelines (Amazon SageMaker, TensorFlow Extended, Azure Machine Learning)
Meet your team
The Customer Scenario Testing team is responsible for delivering best-in-class quality of HANA Cloud by testing customer workload against upcoming versions. To automate the result assessment the team develops services based on machine learning techniques that is supposed to run as part of the central SAP HANA CI/CD infrastructure.
