Data Engineer

What you will do:

As a Data Engineer, you will be working with stakeholders to build workflows in SSIS to pull data from different products for use in web visualizations. Your emphasis will be on building/troubleshooting ETLs, being able to merge and relate different data sources, and query design, analysis, and tuning.

About our technology:

The Data Engineer should have a strong understanding of data warehouse concepts (relational datasets, fact, and dimensional table design, types of SQL join, etc.) and the ability to interpret, create, and maintain views, functions, stored procedures, and SQL agent jobs within Microsoft SQL Server. Current services and tools we use include:

• Azure DevOps
• T-SQL (Microsoft SQL Server)
• SSIS

What you should bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
• Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation technique
• SQL programming experience- writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures
• Strong knowledge of database design principles
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Knowledge and experience in deployment in the administration of SSRS/SSIS reports and report server
• Strong communication and influencing skills in meetings, email, and ticketing systems

Other desirable experiences:

• Background working in with financial data and knowledge of banking/credit institutions and their transactions
• Oracle PL-SQL
• Postgres
