As an Azure Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data foundation of a groundbreaking project. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing and implementing data models, and leveraging the power of Azure Databricks, Synapse, and other cloud-based technologies to develop and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
This engagement will start as a six-month contract with a high potential for extension.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models.
Utilize your expertise in Azure Databricks, Synapse, and other cloud-based technologies to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
Leverage PySpark, SQL, and other relevant tools to ensure seamless data integration, transformation, and enrichment.
Contribute to the development of a comprehensive and scalable data architecture that supports both current project needs and future growth.
Create and optimize data structures to ensure high performance, availability, and security of data.
Work closely with Data Scientists and Analysts to provide them with the necessary data and insights to drive actionable decisions.
Collaborate with Visualization Consultants to ensure that the data foundation aligns with visualization requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Azure Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on data models and cloud-based data features.
Extensive hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Synapse, and other Azure cloud services.
Proficiency in PySpark, SQL, and data manipulation techniques.
Solid understanding of data architecture, data integration, and ETL processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to overcome technical challenges.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
